“For whoever does the
will of God is My brother and My sister and mother” (Mark 3:35)
If you have an occasion to do God’s
will, do it. You will have nothing to lose but you will have something to gain.
You will have a new title. You will be Jesus’ brother, mother and sister. Let
God control you. In everything seek the will of God. In everything do the will
of God. “The will of God will never take you to where the grace of God will not
protect you.” Whoever does the will of God is the disciple of Jesus. From that
vantage point Mary is the first disciple of Jesus. By doing God’s will, you will
be given another title-Jesus’ disciple. God’s will is as much in sorrow as in
grace. “In Gethsemane the holiest of all petitioners prayed three times that a
certain cup might pass from Him. It did not,”
said C.S. Lewis. Through prayer Jesus discerned the will of the Father
and did it.Imitate Jesus!
Prayer
God in your will is my peace.
Help me to discern your will. Help me to do your will. Use me. Mould me. Shape
me. Transform me. Form me. Amen!
